With the theme, “One Team, One Dream: Fostering Unity, Excellence, and Sportsmanship Through Sports,” Dumoy National High School officially opened its Intramurals 2026 through a vibrant and meaningful opening program filled with energy, excitement, and school pride.
The celebration began with a grand parade participated in by learners from different curricula, proudly showcasing their team colors, banners, and enthusiasm. The lively performance of the Drum and Lyre Corps and Majorettes added excitement to the event, setting a festive mood for the much-awaited opening of the games.
The activity was led by the ever-supportive School Head, Sir Renz Angelo D. Calzada, together with the officiating coaches, teachers, Boy Scouts, SSLG officers, and other school personnel who extended their full support to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the program. Their active involvement reflected the spirit of collaboration, leadership, and service within the school community.
One of the highlights of the opening ceremony was the Banner Raising Contest, where each curriculum proudly presented its banner as a symbol of identity, aspiration, teamwork, and determination. The colorful display of banners did not only showcase creativity but also strengthened unity and pride among the learners.
The spirit of the games was further ignited through the Lighting of the Torch Ceremony, participated in by representatives from each curriculum. As the torch was passed and the flame was lit, it symbolized the shared commitment of every DNHSian to uphold excellence, friendship, discipline, respect, and sportsmanship throughout the intramural games.
The opening program was filled with cheers, laughter, and excitement as learners, teachers, and staff came together in celebration of camaraderie, talent, and school spirit. More than a competition, the Intramurals 2026 serves as an avenue for learners to build friendships, develop confidence, and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.

Dumoy NHS Department Heads Convene to Strengthen Academic Preparations
Dumoy National High School received a generous donation of 300 pieces, or four boxes, of Happee Toothpaste from Lamoyan Corporation through Mr. Ramil G. Merto, Senior Customer Development Specialist.
The donation forms part of the school’s continuing effort to strengthen the implementation of the WASH in Schools (WinS) Program, which promotes proper hygiene practices, including toothbrushing and handwashing, among learners.
Through this support, Dumoy NHS is able to provide learners with essential hygiene supplies that help reinforce the importance of personal care, oral health, and cleanliness. The donation will greatly contribute to the school’s activities aimed at developing healthy habits among students both inside and outside the classroom.
The school expressed its heartfelt appreciation to Lamoyan Corporation for its generosity and commitment to supporting education and learner welfare. Dumoy NHS Department Heads Convene to Strengthen Academic Preparations
Dumoy National High School held a productive and meaningful meeting with the Department Heads of all subject areas on June 30, 2026, as part of the school’s continuing efforts to strengthen academic foundations and ensure the smooth implementation of programs for the school year.
The meeting was attended by the Department Heads of English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science, ESP, Araling Panlipunan, MAPEH, TLE, and Senior High School, together with School Head Sir Renz Angelo D. Calzada. The discussion focused on the preparation, organization, and submission of essential documents required for each term of the school year.
During the meeting, the department heads carefully reviewed expectations, clarified procedures, and mapped out detailed plans to ensure that reports, attachments, and supporting materials are complete, accurate, and aligned with school standards. Dumoy NHS Strengthens School Safety Through Donation of Scanner Metal Detector
Dumoy National High School continues to strengthen its commitment to providing a safe, secure, and learner-friendly environment with the recent donation of a scanner metal detector from a generous stakeholder who chose to remain anonymous.
The donated scanner metal detector will be used during the inspection of bags upon entry to the school premises. This added safety measure aims to help prevent the entry of prohibited and potentially harmful items, ensuring greater protection for learners, teachers, non-teaching personnel, and visitors.
School Head Sir Renz Angelo D. Calzada expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful donation, emphasizing that safety and security remain a shared responsibility among the school, parents, learners, and stakeholders. FIRST SPTA GENERAL ASSEMBLY FOR SY 2026-2027
Dumoy National High School successfully conducted its Term 1 – 1st General School PTA Assembly on July 1, 2026, with the active participation of parents and guardians, teachers, and the newly elected SPTA officers for the School Year 2026–2027, as well as with the assistance of the SSLG officers and Boy Scouts, who helped ensure the smooth flow of the program. The event was effectively facilitated by the Master of Ceremonies, Ma’am Erika Cabrera, the newly elected SPTA Secretary, who confidently guided the proceedings.
The program formally opened with a warm Welcome Address from the supportive School Head, Sir Renz Angelo D. Calzada, who introduced the faculty and staff and discussed the latest DepEd policies, ensuring that all stakeholders were well-informed and aligned with the school’s direction. A significant highlight of the assembly was the Induction Ceremony of the newly elected SPTA officers, marking their commitment to serve the school community with dedication and integrity.
Subsequently, the newly elected officers, led by SPTA President Mr. Reynaldo Malimban, presented their project proposals for the School Year 2026–2027, outlining initiatives aimed at strengthening school programs and enhancing learner development.
The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), under the guidance of Adviser Ma’am Princess Lamila, also introduced the student handbook and Physical Education initiatives, emphasizing awareness, discipline, and holistic growth among students. Moreover, School Paper Adviser Ma’am Carla Nina C. Nonan shared updates on the progress and contributions of the school publication, highlighting its vital role in developing students’ communication and journalism skills.
The program concluded with a strong sense of unity and shared commitment among all stakeholders, reflecting a harmonious alignment of goals toward building a supportive and progressive learning environment for every learner.
